The encyclopedia is named NDSUwiki because a "wiki" is a collaborative information database, created by the users who read it. Since this database is intended to be an information source of all things relating to North Dakota State University the name fits well. The NDSUwiki is a work-in-process, begun by the Student Government Technology Commission in Fall 2007, with plans to be announced as a public information source during the Fall semster of 2008. Currently, official Guidelines have been approved by the Student Senate and were implemented the Spring Semester of 2008.
